Danielle's 21st birthday
The family get together in Dorset to celebrate Dani's birthday.
Dani celebrates on the day of her 21st birthday by inviting the family to The Kings Arms, East Stour for an evening meal.
• Chicken liver parfait with warm toasted bread, red onion marmalade and crisp leaves
• Breast of chicken stuffed with haggis, served on champed Swede with a Scotch whisky sauce and crispy chicken skin
A short after dinner speech is made by the birthday girl, thanking everyone for coming. As the last of the deserts arrive at the table a rendition of "Happy Birthday" is sung by all the guests.
As Dani indicates her intention to go shopping the following day, I'm interested to discover the object of her desire equipped with our monetary gifts, only to be told that it's a bird feeder ...strange girl, not sure she's ever been to Toys R Us
