I join Hamish with his family and friends by the Thames to celebrate his birthday.
Hamish celebrates his 60th birthday by inviting his family and friends to the Henley Room of The Swan at Streatley Hotel overlooking the River Thames for a three course Sunday lunch.

Drinks include red wine throughout the meal and ground coffee to finish. The birthday cake makes its entrance accompanied by a rendition of "Happy Birthday" by all the guests. Following a short speech from the birthday boy, the waiter cuts up the birthday cake and put them into individual boxes to take away.
After a leisurely afternoon eating, drinking and chatting by the river, a few of us go back for a cold beer and nibbles in Hamish's back garden before heading home.
