New job in London

I start a new job as a web application developer for an insurance underwriting company in the city.

Located near Bank tube station with the Lloyds Building and the Willis Building on the opposite side of the road, 30 St Mary Axe (Gherkin) and Tower 42 (NatWest Tower) nearby. The firm provides insurance underwriting services both in and out of the Lloyds of London market, with emerging markets in Europe and Asia.

The role is to develop and support a new Intranet based application, to model the full life cycle of insurance and reinsurance within all current markets. Technologies include N-Tier architecture, web standards and languages including XHTML, CSS, JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, Web Services, ASP.Net, VB.Net and SQL Server.
