I run down to Broadclyst, near Exeter for a couple of nights to stay with the family who are holidaying.
The cottage looks like something straight out of Hansel & Gretel, although I guess the name Forest Cottages should of given us a clue.
In the morning we see a pheasant and family of deer feeding in the garden.
During the day we drive around the local area, visit Knightshayes (once a family home built on cotton mills and now a National Trust property) to walk around the house and gardens.
